Pretoria sits in a sheltered valley, about 1,339 metres up, with long, hot, rainy summers and short, dry, mild winters. We clean carpets, couches and mattresses across the city, from Pretoria East to Hatfield and Sunnyside. Request a quote and we phone back with a price and a time to suit you.
Where in Pretoria do we take requests?
The N1 Pretoria Eastern Bypass runs through a large expanse of eastern suburbs, and we take requests from across them and the older parts of the city.
- Pretoria East: Garsfontein, Lynnwood, Menlo Park and the suburbs around them.
- Older central suburbs: Brooklyn, Waterkloof and the neighbourhoods near the centre.
- Hatfield and Sunnyside: the eastern suburb with the Gautrain station, and Sunnyside nearby.
Send your suburb with the request, and tell us if it is not on this list.
A valley that holds the heat
Pretoria's rain falls mostly in summer, and the sheltered valley keeps average temperatures higher than its altitude suggests. Average annual relative humidity is about 56%.
For carpets, the length of the wet season is the point. Published cleaning guides put drying at 6 to 12 hours, and name humid weather and limited ventilation as the reasons for longer waits. After a spell of rain, a carpet may need the long end of that range.
What helps: a ceiling fan or stand fan running all day, windows open only when the air outside is dry, and a dehumidifier if you own one.
Winter nights
Winters here are short, mild and dry, but sharp frosts happen and recent winter nights have dropped to around 2 to minus 5 degrees Celsius.
Our advice for a winter booking: ask for a morning time, so the carpet has the whole day to dry before the cold evening. Then keep the fan going into the evening.
Rented flats and moving out
If you are cleaning ahead of a hand-over on a rented place, say so when you request the quote and tell us your date. We tell you whether we can fit it in, and what drying time to allow before you hand over the keys.
Stains matter most in this situation. Tell us what they are and how old they are, because some stains do not come out completely, and we say so plainly before we start.
What published prices exist for Pretoria?

Sources and dates sit on the cost guide. Stairs and stains change the price.
