What we do

How we work
We think the days either side of the visit matter as much as the visit itself. That is why every page here carries advice for before we arrive and after we leave: what to move, how long to allow for drying, when children and pets can come back, and what to do if something is still damp.
We give figures only when we can point to a source. Where a price or a drying time comes from someone else's guide, the page says whose and when.
